When wine meets tourism. Numbers and models of Italian wineries

SRM and Roberta Garibaldi (president of AITE, the Italian Association of Food and Wine Tourism) have conducted a study analysing the figures, models and trends of Italian wine tourism. The research, which can be downloaded in slide report format, provides a snapshot of a mature and growing wine tourism sector despite the decline in global wine consumption, highlighting organisational models, economic performance, investments and value generated in the regions. With over 77% of companies having invested in the last three years and an economic potential of up to €1 billion thanks to the increase in international visitors, wine tourism is emerging as a strategic lever for the competitive, sustainable and integrated development of Italian wine-producing districts.
